I do not know how a device could be any better. I was unwilling to pay the high of the ones normally offered because I know people who have them and do not use them because they say the sound they hear is not natural. Since I was unable to afford the cost of conventional hearing aid, I decide to try this one. It is very good and as adjustable as needed for volume control. Now, I can hear the voices of my family, my dogs and the birds more clearly. Watching television has greatly improved.
